If you’ve ever been a barista, you know how important that hectic coffee morning rush is for the millions of coffee drinkers starting their day. It seems like cafes are opening earlier and earlier to accommodate the firsts risers, especially now that it only takes seconds to grab your coffee because of ordering apps on your smartphone.
Also, let’s not forget the safer options presented to us with contact-less pick-up and drive-thrus. But the safest, freshest coffee near you is the coffee you brew at home.
Here are some fun and creative coffee morning recipes featuring our Flavored Blends Coffee Collection to give your brew a little attitude whether you like it hot or cold.
Start with freshly ground coffee for each recipe.
Blessed Life Blend is a medium roast with a pecan praline aroma that’s sure to leave you feeling grateful all day. Drink this coffee recipe hot or cold and add some accessory with this topping.
All you need is:
A food processor or blender
Milk or favorite creamer substitution
1 tspb of Butter
1 tspb Brown sugar
Pinch of Salt
Handful of Roasted Pecans
Whipped cream
Melt the butter in a pot and stir in the brown sugar and pinch of salt. Once the sugar is caramelized, add in pecans and mix. Turn the heat off and let the pecan mix cool before adding to the food processor. Blend well until crumpled. Add milk or creamer to Blessed Life as you would normally and ice if you'd like this cold. Add whipped cream and top with crumpled pecan mix! If you want to skip the whipped cream, blend the pecan mixture with the milk and pour into coffee. You’ll sip up sweet and nutty surprises!

Kim’s Secret Weapon (KSW) is a dark roast made to get you started and keep you going through the day! It’s perfect for making a hot or iced chocolate cafe au lait.
All you need is:
Milk steamed or iced, or your favorite milk substitution (Heat up milk in a double boiler if you don’t have a frother or microwave in 20-25 second intervals)
Grab your favorite rich chocolate morsels
And that’s it! Whisk the chocolate in some hot and freshly brewed KSW until it’s completely melted. If you’re making this iced, brew coffee with less water for a higher concentration. Add milk to your preferred taste and mix well with a whisk. As a bonus, top it off with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

Coffee in the Key of Blue (CKB) will get you jazzed up for the day. This blueberry infused coffee is so smooth- it’ll unlock swagger you didn’t know you had! Here’s a simple recipe for the blueberry lover in you.
All you need is:
Milk or your favorite milk substitution
1 Cup Blueberries
¼ Cup White Granulated Sugar
3 tspb Avocado Oil (or any refined oil with a high smoke point like this coffee recipe with coconut oil instead)
¼-½ cup of water (depending on preferred syrup thickness)
In a pot, stir oil and blueberries on medium-low heat. Stir until blueberries are soft and add sugar. Melt sugar down and mash berries into a compote. Note: If you like blueberry bits, just add water to make blueberry simple syrup, otherwise let cool and use a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to drain juices from compote. Add water and mix together. Add milk like usual to CKB and add blueberry simple syrup to taste. Voila! Sip up.

Last, but not least- Comfort & Kim’s Joy is centered around that all-too-familiar holiday aroma of cinnamon and nutmeg you’ll find in Eggnog. It’s never too early in the year to indulge in a hug for your taste buds, giving you that overall warm vibe. Here’s a little extra you can add to this gourmet blend that doesn’t involve making the eggnog yourself!
All you need is:
¼ Cup of Eggnog in place of your creamer
A dash of ground Cinnamon
A dash of ground Nutmeg
Half a dash of ground Clove (optional)
A pinch of Salt (optional)
Heat up eggnog, cinnamon and nutmeg together in a double boiler or frother. You can also microwave in 15-20 second intervals, stirring in between. Pour into CKJ and drink promptly. Add a pinch of salt to CKJ to balance sweetness. If you prefer this drink iced, still heat up milk first with spices and salt to get flavors mixed and let cool before adding to CKJ with ice. #CKJCoffee
